I’m a Morning Person
I know that many people aren’t exactly the morning type and you shouldn’t really talk to them when they wake up, it’s better to wait until after they had their cup of coffee.
Well, I’m not that type. I love to wake up early and start my day when the sun is out, having as much daylight as I possibly can. I love it when I wake up early and to hiking with my husband and our dog when we get back home and it’s only 10 AM it feels like we have the whole day ahead of us and we already managed to get a lot done.
Usually, I try to plan my daily schedule one day in advance, that way I have a clear idea of what are the things that I need to get done. I know that if I don’t plan my day then it won’t be a productive one and I can find myself eventually trying to do many things but not getting anything done.
When I get the most important things done first thing in the morning I feel great because then I don’t think about it all day because I know I’ve already done it.
When I leave my most important things to the night time I feel frustrated because I’m tired and want to sleep, but I know there are things I need to do. So it’s very upsetting when I leave things to the last minute.
I know that for everyone it’s different, my friend’s most productive hours are after 8 PM. When we were studying together for exams it was always difficult to find a good hour that we both liked. I would prefer to meet at 9 Am but she wanted to meet at 5 PM. So usually we would compromise to meet after lunch. 😉
My Yoga Routine
Regarding my yoga routine, it’s not a ‘task’ that I need to get done in the morning when I wake up. I know that whenever I do yoga in the morning, even if it’s a 10 minute or 30-minute practice, my whole day looks different. I’m more motivated, I feel good, I have energy and I’m relaxed. But when I don’t practice yoga in the morning and don’t practice at all I feel more tired and not full of energy.
When I practice yoga in the evening it also has a nice effect of relaxing after a long day of work. It helps me calm down and get ready to end the day and go to bed. Usually, I go for a run in the evening so I know that morning time is the best time for me to do my yoga routine.
Are You a Morning Person? Or Are You More Productive At Night?
My most productive hours are in the morning after I wake up, I love to get things done as soon as possible and not leave anything for the last minute. I love to do my yoga routines in the morning because it gives me a great boost of energy for my day ahead (also because in the evening is the time I go running and do other sports activities).
